Birdwatcher Kids in Las Juntas y Los Veranos

By: Dr. Cristóbal Sánchez

As part of the Bird Watchers Project that we started in March of this year, the 4th and 5th grade groups of the “Benito Juárez” primary school had a visit from our collaborator Ric Chamblee, professional photographer and bird lover, who spoke to them about the species feathered birds from the area and shared the methods and tips for photographing them. We all really enjoyed the presentation and the children’s bold questions.

After this activity, Ric offered information sessions on birds at the garden office in Puerto Vallarta to publicize the educational program and the importance of promoting conservation in the region.
