The Gardens are about a 30-minute drive south of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta, and are easily accessible by public transportation. Our world-class plant collections, miles of hiking trails through native forests and a host of special activities give you countless reasons to visit us soon.

Our Gardens are dedicated to native habitats, especially the plants endemic to tropical western Mexico. Our plant research, propagation, conservation and education programs all further this important work toward a sustainable, biodiverse future for our planet.

Our Hacienda de Oro Visitor Center offers stunning views of mountains, forest and river; natural-history and cultural collections; exquisite dining in our restaurant; and many other amenities. Our Hall of Flowers is available for weddings and other private events.

The benefits to our community and forests that the Gardens provide are largely due to the support of our members and donors. We are a registered charity in Mexico and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which offers tax-deduction receipts to U.S. donors.
